Detection of IL1β Gene in Sudanese Patients with Gliomas Tumor in Khartoum state, Sudan

Introduction: Gliomas are the most prevalent type of primary intracranial tumors, representing 80% all brain neoplasms.In Sudan Brain tumors have been as leading cause mortality among children and thirdcausative death young adults.World Health Organization (WHO) classification2021, categorized gliomas into lower-grades (LGG,grades II III) andglioblastoma (GBM, grade IV).Gliomas surrounded by pool pro inflammatory cytokines, chemokine growth factor, particularly review tumorigenic effects central nervous system one this cytokines is Interleukin-1ß (IL-1ß ) which play a crucial role in pathophysiology.
 Aims study: This study aimed to amplify IL-1ß gene detect -5511, rs371339015 rs376341819 SNPs gliomassubtypes Sudanese patients using PCR Sanger sequencing.
 Material methods: The was conducted at National Center for Neurological Sciences during period from May September 2022, Khartoum Sudan. From patientsduring above mentioned period, tissue samples were collected processed DNA extraction, further sequencing
 Results: In study, common affected agegroup 31- 40 years, supratentorial location seen more than half astrocytoma 1 detected 80.9%.
 grades I, frequent mutation C >A 28.7% A > 19%.
 C>T present gliomasgrade III.
 Conclusions: encountered grades.
